Shiners (Homo cervisia) are the most common and widespread species of primate kown to exist in the SteamWorld. They are the next evolution state of humans, allegedly mutated by radiation.
Etymology and definition

Shiners have evolved from Humans (Homo sapiens), although they are more seen as a devolution due to being physiologically and psychologically inferior compared to humans. Little is know about the exact reasons, but it is assumed that great ammount of radiation, the lack of sunlight and great consumption of moon juice led to their evolution.
