The Red Queen was the leader of the diesel-driven Royalists, who originally sought to help rebuild the broken world with chains, but later found an interest in artifacts from the past and later decided that all Steambots should be replaced by Dieselbots in the military. Her hunt for ancient artifacts led her to discover a Vectron unit, and decided to study it. After Piper Faraday and her pirate crew began fighting back against her forces, the Red Queen decided to scrap Piper and her team, but ultimately failed.The Red Queen will often bring her soldiers to help fight for her, as well as her two other known royal bots. After her defeat, Piper went to release her prisoner.
