Upgrades (SWD2)

Upgrades are purchasable improvements for a tool you own, and are purchased at the workbench in El Machino. After purchasing an upgrade for a tool it's effect will be improved and you'll also unlock a bonus Skill related to it which can be activated with Cogs (some skills are toggled without using cogs).

You find these Cogs all around the world with most of them located in secret areas (listen for a distinct sound when near them), seven of them can be purchased from Trader Carson (found in El Machino, located at the left on the 2nd highest floor of town).

Skills require varying amounts of Cogs to activate and you can freely de-activate Skills to reclaim the cogs to use them on another unlocked Skill.
