Achievements are rewards granted to players after specific gameplay tasks have been completed. SteamWorld Build offers achievements to players on all platforms, except for the Nintendo Switch version (as this system does not have a build-in achievement system). Achievements can't be earned on maps in sandbox mode.

List of Achievements

The Steam version of the game features 28 achievements in total.

Title Description Additional tips
SWB Achievement 1.png It's Yours, My Friend Buy something from the Store. Any completed purchase at the Train Station's item store will unlock this achievement.
SWB Achievement 2.png Conducted Trade Complete a Trade at the Train Station. A trade must be set up and completed at the Train Station in order to unlock this achievement. A trade will completed when the next train arrives, as long as the required resources are available.
SWB Achievement 3.png Digging a Hole Repair the Mineshaft. -
SWB Achievement 4.png Going Places Excavate the first Rocket Part. -
SWB Achievement 5.png Tutti Frutti Have Miners, Prospectors, Mechanics and Guards on the same mine floor. -
SWB Achievement 6.png Mathematic Reach the Engineer Citizen Tier. -
SWB Achievement 7.png Aristocratic Reach the Aristobot Citizen Tier. -
SWB Achievement 8.png Systematic Reach the Scientist Citizen Tier. -
SWB Achievement 9.png Dopa-Miner Open 50 Chests across all playthroughs. -
SWB Achievement 10.png Manic Mechanic Build every Machine. -
SWB Achievement 11.png Slotting Machine Have 20 Items slotted into buildings or quarters. -
SWB Achievement 12.png Mine Sweeper Defeat 1000 Enemies across all playthroughs. -
SWB Achievement 13.png Botropolis Have 2000 Citizens in your City. -
SWB Achievement 14.png Roll Out Connect 5 Extractors to a single Conveyor Belt network. -
SWB Achievement 15.png Real Purdy Build 100 decorations across all playthroughs. -
SWB Achievement 16.png Click 'Em All Click 100 Tumbleweeds across all playthroughs. -
SWB Achievement 17.png Whoa! Teleport a Miner 100m. -
SWB Achievement 18.png Accustomed Customer Buy 100 Items from the Store across all playthroughs. -
SWB Achievement 19.png Up, Up And Away! Launch the Rocket. -
SWB Achievement 20.png Steaming Rich Amass a fortune of 1.500.000. Building lots of residental buildings during casual mode should help with gaining the required ammount of money for this achievement.
SWB Achievement 21.png Room To Spare Reach a Global Storage of 150. Four Warehouse expansion items must be equipped to 4 different Warehouses in order to aquire a global storage of 150. One can be found in hidden chests on each mine floor, while the fourth itemsw must be bought from the Train Station's item shop.
SWB Achievement 22.png Nothing But Road Build 100km of Roads across all playthroughs. -
SWB Achievement 23.png I'm A Lumberbot Chop down 50.000 trees across all playthroughs. Building lots of Foresters on 100% fertility levels and equipping them with production speed items should help with faster progress on this achievement. Casual mode should also make things more efficient due to reduced costs.
SWB Achievement 24.png Gotta Go Fast Have a Steambot boosted by Speed Vents for 15 seconds. -
SWB Achievement 25.png Stack Overflow Reach a surplus of 100 citizens for all tiers. Due to reduced costs, casual mode should help with this achievement.
SWB Achievement 26.png Steam Powered Have 40 Refineries boosted by Steam. -
SWB Achievement 27.png Interstellar Performance Launch the Rocket on Hard Difficulty. -
SWB Achievement 28.png Yup. Launch the rocket without building any turrets. If players wish to achieve this during their first playthrough, it is advised to turn off the tutorial, is it will otherwise prevent you from progressing until turrets have been build. Getting this achievement on casual mode is less stressful, as enemies deal less damage.

    • The title of Click 'Em All is a nod to the famous catchphrase "Gotta Catch 'Em All!" from the Pokémon franchise.
    • The icon of Whoa! is a reference to the logo from the game "Portal" by Valve.
    • The title of Mine Sweeper is a reference to Microsoft's game "Minesweeper".
    • The title of Gotta Go Fast is a reference to the opening theme of the same name from the anime series "Sonic X", featuring Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends.
